January is always a good time to check that your CV is up to date. Whilst you may not be looking for a new position it is vital to be prepared for the worst, just in case. It’s very important to have your CV up to date especially if you have moved jobs in the past year. Include a few key points about your new job – especially new skills learned, qualifications earned or new areas of responsibility that you have taken on. Think about whether it is time to remove your oldest jobs from your CV. Any new employer will only be interested in your recently held skills and capabilities.
You might possibly decide it’s time to tear up your old CV and start again with a completely fresh approach. It may even inspire you to look for an even better job or a change of direction from your current role. Good luck!
