Skilled CNC Setter/Operator


Our client is a manufacturing company based in St Leonards who specialise in the production of high precision machined components. A vacancy has arisen for a CNC Setter/Operator to join their busy and friendly team.

The ideal CNC Setter/Operator will have demonstrable experience; possess an excellent knowledge of Fanuc controls and be able to set and operate machines to accurate specifications.  As a CNC Setter/Operator you must be able to work with minimum supervision and be happy to carry out other tasks when asked.

The ideal CNC Setter/Operator will possess the following skills and qualities:

  • CNC Programming/Setting experience
  • Engineering qualification or experience within an engineering company
  • Good understanding of engineering and machining principles
  • Knowledge of Fanuc controls is essential
  • Ability to programme from drawings
  • Be able to follow instructions

Your duties as a CNC Setter/Operator would be:

  • Setting and operating CNC machines
  • Product correct components to specified drawings
  • Observing Health and Safety regulations in accordance with company procedures and government legislation
  • Keeping your work station clean and tidy
  • Ensuring time standards are maintained and improved to minimise late jobs
  • Making sure required maintenance is carried out
  • Carry out any other tasks when requested


£17,000 – £20,000 depending on experience


Monday – Thursday; 8am - 5pm

Friday; 8am – 1pm
