Our client is a leading global provider of high-quality vacuum equipment, with a goal of enabling the innovation, creation and advancement of a vast array of products. A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join their exceptional team.

The ideal Warehouse Operative will have demonstrable experience and be able to assist with general maintenance. As a Warehouse Operative you will be picking and packing sales and production orders, as well as co-ordinating the receiving, inspection and processing of inbound products.

Due to the nature of the position you will need to have a valid UK driving license.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Hold a valid UK driving license
  • Be computer literate
  • Be polite, informative and possess a professional attitude
  • Have good communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent
  • Quality, Health & Safety and ISO experience is desirable but not essential
  • MRP/ERP system experience is desirable

Your duties as a Warehouse Operative will include:

  • Picking, verification and packing of sales and production type orders and updating Dynamics AX system appropriately
  • Ensuring correct documentation accompanies domestic and international shipments
  • Processing packages and pick lists through “shipping systems” such as UPS, Fed Ex, and update Dynamics AX system accordingly
  • Ensuring all procedures/processes will be in conjunction with current department work instructions
  • Inventory management, organise and rotate product, cycle counts, stock take, etc.
  • Receiving, inspecting and posting inbound goods to inventory using Dynamics AX
  • Ensuring products are labelled and stored correctly via the bin location structure
  • Performing daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed by your supervisor
  • Performing Manual Handling in association with in day-to-day duties, in compliance with current Health and Safety legislation (Full training will be provided if required)
  • Performing maintenance/construction tasks, this may involve the use of specialist equipment when required (Full training will be provided prior to use)
  • Delivering or collecting components from local vendors when required; on these occasions a company vehicle will be provided for us
  • Other duties as assigned

Salary:

£16,000 - £18,000

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
