Van Technician / Truck Technician – Eastbourne

Early & Late Shifts – alternate weeks

Up to £36k

Our client is a long-established commercial vehicle franchise that provides a comprehensive truck and van sales, maintenance and call out service throughout Sussex and Surrey. Due to increased business they are currently looking for two experienced full-time van technicians / truck technicians to cover evening and night shifts at their Eastbourne branch.

The franchise supports one of the most famous and respected names in motoring with a reputation for quality reliable engineering. Successful candidates will be expected to attend certificated training to comply with the brand’s standard.

These are workshop technician positions, but some off-site, roadside or call out work may be available in due course.

Operating on an alternate week split shift system:

Week 1 Mon-Fri 07:00 to 15:30 & Saturday 07:00 to 13:00

Week 2 Mon-Fri 15:30 to 24:00 no Saturday

The ideal Van Technician / Truck Technician will possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Extensive working experience of fault diagnosis, repair and servicing on commercial vans and/or trucks.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Well organised, diligent, and methodical with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good problem solver able to work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Flexible and versatile with a positive ‘can do’ approach to work.

Salary and reward package: 

  • Salary up to £36K depending on skills and experience.
