Our client is a private, independently owned provider of superior quality home care tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Due to increasing demand they are growing their team and looking to recruit Homecare Workers to deliver an exceptional level of care and support in the Mid Sussex area.

Successful Homecare Workers will work with a range of clients, their families and other agencies to enable them to live as safely and independently as possible whilst retaining their privacy, dignity and lifestyle choices. Tasks will include personal care, domestic support, administering medication, food preparation and providing companionship.

No experience in registered care or a support role is necessary, simply a willingness to help others, respectfully recognising each client as an individual and providing the highest standards of care. A full induction and training programme will be given and successful applicants will be sponsored to complete a recognised Health and Social Care qualification.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an organisation with great commitment to transforming lives or to enter a career in registered care and support.

A wide range of flexible working hours are available including evenings, weekends and bank holidays with highly competitive rates of pay with enhancements payable for hours worked after 6pm Mon-Fri and all day on weekends and public holidays. You will also be paid for your time between client visits and have business mileage reimbursed, including mileage from home.

Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced disclosure; expense will be met by the employer. You will need to hold a full driving licence with access to your own vehicle and have familiarity with using Smart Phone Apps.

The ideal Home Care Worker will have the following skills and qualities:

  • The willingness to help transform lives by supporting people in their own homes.
  • Previous experience within a support, nursing or registered care role would be of great benefit, but is not essential.
  • An empathetic, caring nature with the ability to work well alone.
  • Attention to detail with a desire to always do your best.
  • Familiarity with App and phone technology as work rotas and schedules will be delivered via an App to your Smart phone.
  • Be flexible and willing to work evenings, alternate weekends and bank holidays.
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.

Salary and Reward Package:

  • A range of hourly rates, depending on skills and experience, starting from £8.80 for weekday hours, £9.80 after 6pm and £11.80 for weekends. Higher rate payable to those with Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Enhanced payments for hours worked after 6pm Mon-Fri and all day on weekends and public holidays.
  • Time paid travelling between clients.
  • Business mileage reimbursed at 40p per mile. Paid separately to salary.
  • Ongoing development and training including NVQ 2, 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Salary sacrifice new car scheme available.
